Le Pont Du Gard
We visited one of the man made wonders of the world, the Pont du Gard, a Roman aquaduct from 100ad, which took water from the Rhone to Nimes. The math of the pont works out to a 35cm decline over each kilometer for over 55 kilometers, so as to keep the water flowing smoothly. It really is a feat of human creation.
